AEDP® for JAPAN

We bring AEDP® to Japanese-speaking clinicians — in their own language, on their own clock.

Who we are

AEDP for JAPAN (AFJ) is a New York–based organization and an official licensee of the AEDP Institute. Under this license, we make AEDP® training, materials, and community available to clinicians in Japan.

Japan's therapists work long weeks, often six days, and English is a real barrier for many. AFJ exists to remove those two obstacles — language and schedule — so that Japanese clinicians can learn AEDP® deeply and comfortably.

We also run a Japanese-language YouTube channel, and we maintain the community's web home at aedpforjapan.org.

What we do

Production and Community Building for Japan.

 

When the Institute offers training to Japanese clinicians, AFJ carries the local side: Japan-friendly scheduling, Japanese-language landing pages and registration guidance, customer support in Japanese, and outreach through our newsletter and professional networks.

 

Language infrastructure.

 

We have built a Japanese translation workflow for AEDP® teaching materials — a curated bilingual glossary of AEDP® terms, subtitle production, and bilingual quality checking — so that translation quality holds even for affect-rich clinical language.

 

AEDP trained Therapists Community.

 

A team of trained Japanese experiential assistants, therapist and supervisor directories, and seven years of weekly writing that keeps the community warm between courses.

AFJ grew slowly and deliberately — a newsletter first, then workshops, publications, then Immersion. We believe demand is created by sharing what we know generously. That approach has carried AEDP® in Japan for years, and it is the approach we bring to everything we co-create with the Institute.
